Our local projects to assist the community.
Volunteer at the Food Bank
Annually Soroptimist members help sort food at the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. Volunteers also participate in a community food giveaway sponsored by the Food Bank.
Coat Drive
Each year Solano County Soroptimist collects and donates coats in partnership with the Fairfield Community Services Foundation. The coats are distributed at the holidays to local youth from four to sixteen years of age.
Every Spring Soroptimist members volunteer to read books to a local grade school as part of the nationalwide Dr Seuss Read Across America Program. The club donates new and used books to leave for the teachers' classrooms.
Reach Out and Read
This Solano County Library Literacy Program is the year round recipient of children's books from our Club. Each book is given in the name of a guest speaker, new member, or a recognized Soroptimist member.
Diaper Drive
Every year the club collects diapers and wipes for the Help Me Grow Program which is a program of the Solano Family & Children Services.
Dr Seuss Read Across America Program
Youth Outreach Services
The Club offers services for programs focused on girls in junior high and high school.
Girls Circle is a program conducted at the Matt Garcia PAL Center serving girls ages 12-18. The program is a professionally facilitated, structured, weekly discussion that focuses on many themes important to the lives and issues facing young girls in our community. The club provides meals for the girls.
S Club
Dream It Be It
The club organizes and sponsors the Dream It Be It (DIBI) program for high school girls. Community role models provide an overview of their careers and the path they took to achieve their goals. DIBI offers the tools high school girls need to achieve their education and career goals, empowering them to break cycles of poverty and abuse.
Police Activities League Girls Circle

“S” Clubs are service clubs for high school students in our communities. “S” clubs are a vital part of the high school extracurricular groups and are a great way for high school students to learn about serving others and helping in the community.

Our International Contributions
Every year our Club donates funds to worthy organizations such as Water Is Basic, Fistula Foundation and Women for Women International. We also loan funds through KIVA.
